Kali Lesley-Taylor:

Innocence

ARTIST STATEMENT

“Innocence” follows a group of persons varying in age in the heart of Omaha’s underground. Documentation of this group began about two years and through this collection of prints the artist aims to highlight the personality of the entire circle. While each person is not necessarily alike, it is the cohesiveness, uniqueness and dynamic of these individuals in which they share that is truly the focus of the work. While continuing documentation of these persons you can see the fading in and out of certain people, like waves. It is also a personal reference for the artist as a remembrance and timeline of the stirring emotions and happenings as a personal log.
